The Pro Bolt replaces an ordinary hex nut. You screw it onto a new or existing bolt, stud, threaded rod or shaft, against a hardened washer. You then tension the joint not with heavy hydraulic, pneumatic or electric tools, but with an ordinary torque wrench: you tighten the small jacking bolts around the main thread. Together they transfer the full preload evenly onto the main thread.

Features
Easy tensioning
No hydraulic, pneumatic or electric tools needed.
Low tightening torques
The force is distributed over several jacking bolts, so much less torque is needed per bolt.
Compact
The same installation dimensions as an ordinary hex nut of the same class; ideal in tight spaces.
Accurate and reliable
The hardened washer protects the flange against deformation, for a more reliable preload.
Interchangeable
Directly replaces the existing hex nut.
Applications
Flanges and pressure vessels
For example waste heat boilers and heat exchangers.
Tight spaces
Where there is no room for a hydraulic wrench or bolt tensioner.
Heavy machine joints
Shafts, threaded rods and studs that require high preload.
