HELIOS 35 induction bolt heating

With the Nuova Simat HELIOS 35 you heat hollow bolts by means of magnetic induction. The inductor goes into the bore of the bolt and generates a magnetic field there; the bolt expands, and you simply loosen or tighten the nut. Think of steam turbine casings, valves and compressors. Much faster and safer than traditional heating rods ('candles') or a flame.

How it works

  1. The inductor goes into the hollow bolt and generates a magnetic field.
  2. Magnetic induction makes the bolt expand.
  3. You simply loosen the nut.

The inductors are made to measure, so they fit your bolts exactly. With the optional ring inductors you also heat nuts and other cylindrical parts, for example to free seized nuts.
